A green charrette is an intense working session that will utilize the talents and experience of housing development professionals, funders, policymakers, community stakeholders, and other relevant entities.
Targeted projects include those that are subject to firm site control (or show evidence that site control is imminent). Projects must also involve new construction/rehab of residential units at an estimated cost of at least $3,000 per unit. Applicants applying for pre-development charrette funds must be in the early stages of planning or schematic design. Applicants applying for post-development charrette funds must have a project that is complete and occupied. Applicants must be knowledgeable of the Green Communities criteria and utilize an appropriate facilitator.
